Nature in the City

The World Life Foundation (WLF) is increasingly interested in the presence and meaning of nature in cities. Due to urbanization nature is disappearing. The WLF sees this a threat for people’s well-being and health. However, on the other hand water, green areas, day and night, weather, animals and silence are still important representations of nature. The question what is actually nature and what is man-made nature? What is the meaning of various dimension of nature for people? Do people search for it and what are their needs? What is the relevance for policy makers?
